PEOPLE Magazine was the first to break the news that country superstar Shania Twain was close to sealing a deal to join the "American Idol" judging panel for one round of season 9 auditions.
Multiple media outlets, including The Insider & ET have confirmed that Twain will indeed be a guest judge when the show heads to Chicago on August 30th and 31st.
Twain joins an impressive list of guest judges including Victoria Beckham, Katy Perry & Mary J Blige.
Meanwhile, reports continue to surface that Paula Abdul's "Idol" days may not be over just yet.
