With each day that passes it appears a little more certain that "American Idol" season eight finalist Danny Gokey will be getting the recording contract he so deserves.
In an interview with "The Morning Call" Gokey declined to give specific details but suggested a formal announcement is imminent.
“All I can say is there’s good news,” Gokey said. “That’s all I can say. There’s good news on the horizon."
In an even more recent interview with EW's Michael Slezak, Danny expanded and said fans should expect a "formal announcement" before the "Idols Live" tour ends in mid-September.
In the EW interview Gokey also revealed what genre he will be going with for his debut album. "It will be country....because of the message," Danny said. He added, "But it will be a newly marketed way [of doing country.]"
Danny also discussed plans to co-write some of his music.
And the genuine and inspirational sides of Danny Gokey that I loved on tour continue to show as Danny said it's not about "making the millions" with his upcoming album. Danny just wants to make good music and work his way up the latter in the music business. Danny, we wish you nothing but the best and are so excited for you!
